Every ticket in the LWDHF 50/50 raffle buys medical equipment for Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora — and gives you a chance at half of all sales.

Half to the winner, the rest to the hospital
Fifty per cent of ticket sales is paid to the Grand Prize winner. One hundred per cent of the Foundation’s proceeds pays for capital medical equipment and technology at the hospital — nothing else.

Vital signs monitors
Continuous heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and oxygen readings on the wards and in ambulatory care.
Video endoscope
Diagnostic procedures carried out here rather than out of district.
Laparoscopic telescopes
Keyhole surgery, smaller incisions and a shorter recovery.
Bookwalter Retractor Set
Holds surgical exposure steady during abdominal procedures and shortens operating time.
Funded in earlier years
Fluoroscopy Suite
Real-time imaging that guides a procedure while it is happening.
EMG machine
Nerve and muscle testing for patients with pain, weakness or numbness.
Bone mineral densitometry unit
Bone density scanning, which is how osteoporosis is found before a fracture.
CT and diagnostic imaging
A software upgrade that got better images out of equipment the hospital already had.
Beds and mattresses
Comfort and pressure care for people who are in hospital for a long stay.

Choose a pack
$10 = 10 numbers, $20 = 60 numbers, $40 = 200 numbers or $75 = 750 numbers.

Pay
Visa, Mastercard or American Express online; cash or those cards at the Foundation office.
Get your ticket
Your official ticket arrives by email with numbers issued by the vendor system.

Give directly to the hospital fund
A donation is different from a raffle ticket: donations are eligible for a Canada Revenue Agency tax receipt, and every dollar goes to capital medical equipment for Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Buying a raffle ticket does not generate a tax receipt. Lottery ticket purchases are not gifts under Canadian tax rules.
